Puñito de Yocahú is Vicente García’s 2025 album, a deeply Caribbean project that explores identity, ancestry and the cultural connections that unite the islands of the region. Named after Yocahú, a Taíno deity associated with agriculture and fertility, the record blends Dominican traditions such as bachata and merengue with Afro-Caribbean rhythms, folk, reggae and contemporary Latin sounds. García approaches the Caribbean as a shared musical territory, drawing inspiration from its Indigenous, African and European roots while maintaining the warm, organic songwriting that has defined his career.
