RUN DMC - Raising Hell
Raising Hell (1986) is a landmark hip-hop album that propelled Run-D.M.C. into the mainstream and reshaped the genre’s sound and cultural reach. Built on hard, minimalist beats, shouted hooks, and street-level confidence, the record bridges rap and rock most famously on “Walk This Way” with Aerosmith, breaking racial and genre barriers. Tracks like “It’s Tricky,” “My Adidas,” and “Peter Piper” showcase the group’s raw energy and commanding delivery. As one of the first rap albums to achieve massive commercial success, Raising Hell stands as a foundational work that helped define hip-hop’s global impact.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR RECORDS
Always handle your vinyl by its edges and label, avoiding fingerprints on the grooves. Before and after each play, gently clean the surface with a carbon-fiber anti-static brush or a dedicated record-cleaning solution to remove dust and debris. Store records upright in their sleeves, away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight to preserve sound quality and prevent warping..
