Ray Barretto - Indestructible
Indestructible, released in 1973 by legendary conguero Ray Barretto under Fania Records, stands as one of the defining albums of the salsa era. Created during a time of personal and professional upheaval—after several band members left to form Tipica 73—the album’s title became a bold declaration of Barretto’s resilience and creative strength. Blending Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz-infused brass arrangements, and powerful vocals, Indestructible captures the spirit of New York’s vibrant Latin music scene in the 1970s. Its title track, a soaring anthem of endurance and pride, remains one of the most celebrated songs in salsa history, symbolizing not only Barretto’s unbreakable spirit but also the perseverance of the Afro-Latino musical tradition he championed.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR RECORDS
Always handle your vinyl by its edges and label, avoiding fingerprints on the grooves. Before and after each play, gently clean the surface with a carbon-fiber anti-static brush or a dedicated record-cleaning solution to remove dust and debris. Store records upright in their sleeves, away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight to preserve sound quality and prevent warping..
