Poison - Open Up and Say... Ahh! (LP)
Open Up and Say... Ahh!, released in 1988, is the second studio album by American glam metal band Poison and one of the defining records of the late 1980s hair-metal era. Produced by Tom Werman, the album captures the band’s signature mix of hard rock swagger, pop hooks, and flashy attitude, cementing their status as MTV-era icons. Featuring some of Poison’s biggest hits—like “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Nothin’ But a Good Time,” and “Fallen Angel”—the album balances high-energy party anthems with emotional ballads, showcasing both their wild and vulnerable sides. Open Up and Say... Ahh! became a massive commercial success, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 5 million copies in the U.S. alone. With its infectious hooks and unapologetic fun, it remains a quintessential snapshot of 1980s rock excess and youthful rebellion.
