Nine Inch Nails – Pretty Hate Machine
Released in October 1989 through TVT Records, Pretty Hate Machine is the debut studio album by American industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, founded by Trent Reznor. Blending industrial rock, synth-pop, electronic music, and alternative rock, the album combines dark synthesizers, distorted guitars, aggressive beats, and emotionally intense lyrics. Featuring iconic tracks like “Head Like a Hole,” “Terrible Lie,” “Down in It,” and “Something I Can Never Have,” the record explores themes of alienation, anger, betrayal, and emotional turmoil. Written and largely performed by Reznor himself, Pretty Hate Machine helped bring industrial music into the mainstream by combining abrasive sounds with accessible melodies. Its innovative production and dark, danceable rhythms influenced generations of alternative, electronic, and industrial rock artists, establishing Nine Inch Nails as one of the most important acts of the 1990s.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR RECORDS
Always handle your vinyl by its edges and label, avoiding fingerprints on the grooves. Before and after each play, gently clean the surface with a carbon-fiber anti-static brush or a dedicated record-cleaning solution to remove dust and debris. Store records upright in their sleeves, away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight to preserve sound quality and prevent warping..
