João Gilberto & Stan Getz - Getz / Gilberto

$43.00

Smooth, timeless, and effortlessly cool, Getz/Gilberto (1964) is the album that brought bossa nova to the world—and did it with style. Featuring the iconic pairing of Brazilian guitarist/vocalist João Gilberto and American sax legend Stan Getz, this classic bridges continents and genres with quiet brilliance. Anchored by the worldwide hit “The Girl from Ipanema” (featuring the soft, unforgettable vocals of Astrud Gilberto), the album glides through delicate guitar rhythms, silky tenor sax, and breezy melodies that sound as fresh today as they did six decades ago. Getz/Gilberto won the Grammy for Album of the Year and helped ignite a global love affair with Brazilian music. Whether you're deep into jazz, just discovering bossa nova, or want a record that always sets the mood—this one’s essential.

Store records upright in their sleeves, away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight to preserve sound quality and prevent warping..
