HIM’s Razorblade Romance is the Finnish band’s breakthrough album and one of the defining releases of their signature “love metal” sound, blending gothic rock, heavy metal, and darkly romantic melodies. Originally released in 1999, the record pairs Ville Valo’s deep, dramatic vocals with heavy guitar riffs and irresistibly melodic hooks, exploring the thin line between love, heartbreak, desire, and death. Featuring fan favorites such as “Join Me in Death,” “Right Here in My Arms,” “Gone with the Sin,” and “Poison Girl,” Razorblade Romance remains an essential HIM album and a cult classic of turn-of-the-millennium gothic rock.
