Soda Stereo - Canción Animal

Soda Stereo - Canción Animal

$60.00

Canción Animal (1990) is often considered Soda Stereo’s masterpiece and one of the most important albums in Latin American rock history. With this record, the Argentine trio—Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio, and Charly Alberti—crafted a rawer, guitar-driven sound that leaned heavily into classic rock influences while keeping their signature sophistication. The album blends power and intimacy, with iconic tracks like “De Música Ligera,” a timeless anthem of Rock en Español, and “Canción Animal,” which embodies the album’s primal energy. Songs like “(En) El Séptimo Día” and “Un Millón de Años Luz” showcase Cerati’s lyrical depth, mixing poetic imagery with existential undertones. The production is bold, giving prominence to heavy riffs, soaring melodies, and dynamic rhythms, marking a departure from the poppier textures of their earlier work.
