Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial: Joe's Story (2LP)
Teens of Denial by Car Seat Headrest is the American indie rock band's critically acclaimed 2016 album, showcasing frontman Will Toledo’s sharp songwriting, emotionally charged vocals, and raw guitar-driven sound. Blending indie rock, alternative rock, and lo-fi influences, the record explores themes of anxiety, depression, addiction, self-doubt, and the struggles of young adulthood through witty lyrics and deeply personal storytelling. Standout tracks like “Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales,” “Fill in the Blank,” “Destroyed by Hippie Powers,” and “The Ballad of the Costa Concordia” highlight the band's ability to combine catchy melodies with ambitious arrangements. This 2LP edition, subtitled Joe’s Story, is an essential addition for fans of modern indie rock and introspective songwriting.
